SUN-AIR takes Manchester-Gothenburg-Aarhus

Demand for connection from British and Swedish businesspeople

The Danish airline SUN-AIR, which operates as a British Airways franchise partner, will launch a Manchester-Gothenburg service from 27 August with 11 weekly flights. The route will have a morning and evening departure on all weekdays as well as an evening departure on Sundays, which the airline says makes it easy and comfortable to go back and forth on the same day. The route will be operated with Dornier jet aircraft and tickets can be booked via the BA website.
Kristian Tvergaard, the carrier’s commercial director, explains that, “as a direct consequence of demand from both British and Swedish businesspeople for a direct connection between Manchester and Sweden’s second largest city Gothenburg, we have decided to take over this route.”
He continues: “We believe that the route has a lot of potential as there are several British-owned companies in the Gothenburg area and the UK is one of the region’s top ten trading partners. Furthermore we have more than 20 years of experience flying to both Manchester and Gothenburg, and therefore we have great knowledge of both markets”.
