Swedavia hands over Sundsvall airport

Change of owners also results in change of name

The state-owned Swedish airport operator Swedavia this week officially transferred Sundsvall Härnösand Airport to its new owners, the municipalities of Sundsvall and Timrå. As a result, the airport will change its name to Sundsvall Timrå Airport.
Torborg Chetkovich, chief executive of Swedavia, said that he and his team were “proud that we are able to transfer an airport in exceptionally good condition and with even more potential for development. I would like to thank all our colleagues who have done a fantastic job over the years and who will contribute to the airport’s continued development.”
