Swedavia wins award for best app

App is for the ten Swedish airports it operates

Swedavia’s app for the ten Swedish airports it operates has been named best mobile app in the annual Web Service Award competition. The prize was handed out at a gala on Wednesday evening held at Nalen in Stockholm.

Swedish companies, organisations and government agencies all compete for the awards, for the best website, app and Intranet. It is based on website surveys, with answers provided by more than 200,000 visitors. A jury of experts then uses the results to name the winner in each category.

In addition to winning the category best mobile app, Swedavia was also nominated in the category for best mobile website.

“Good-looking and simple, with a design that suits the format,” was the jury’s reasoning in awarding the prize for the Swedavia app.  “The winner in the mobile app category pleases both users and the jury with its smart functions and sorting options. It is an app that people like to use, provides great benefits and makes your trip easier!”

Maria Tungström, digital channels manager at Swedavia said, “We are delighted with this award and proud of our employees, who contribute to the success of our digital channels with their great commitment. This award and these nominations are clear confirmation that passengers appreciate what we do. We continually develop our app and our websites, get a sense of what passengers want and try to meet their needs and aspirations.”
