Sweden to experience summer tourism boom

Hotels to benefit as foreign tourists spend €12.3 billion
More money is expected to be spent by foreign tourists visiting Sweden in 2015, rising to SEK 115 billion (€12.3 billion), according to a forecast by travel trade association Visita.
Revealed at a conference Visita held on Sunday, the figures show that the number of overnight stays at hotels in Sweden this summer will rise by half a million, of which 175,000 will be foreign guests.
This means that hotels should see a turnover around SEK 6.3 billion during the three summer months, an increase of SEK 300 million from the same period in 2013.
