For this travel agency network, it’s important to be seen
The Swedish travel agency network BIG Travel has opened two new travel shops in Borlänge and Örebro, aimed at both individual and business travellers. The stores have the Resecity brand.
In its home base of Malmö, meanwhile, the agency has moved into new premises in the old stock exchange building opposite the city’s central station.
The agency has a network of 33 travel agencies in Sweden as well as operations in Denmark and Norway, while VIP Travel is part of the group in Finland. Globally, it cooperates with US-based travel management company Radius Travel.
“Our travel agency business is important to us. With our two brands BIG Travel and Resecity, we continue to focus on our customers and the local market, which is important both for the private travel segment and for business trips,” explains marketing director Johan Rejhagen.
“With our own packaged trips marketed under the name BIG Value, we also want to give our private customers easy choices at favourable prices. The concept includes three price ranges – classic, value and super value. BIG City offers major city trips like New York or Chicago, and with BIG Sun you can go to Mallorca or Aruba.”
