Swedish tourist kicks maid unconscious

Swede caught on hotel camera in Bulgaria resort
A 53-year-old Swedish tourist is being held in Bulgaria after being caught on a security camera kicking a 65-year-old hotel cleaner.
The Swedish citizen was filmed on a surveillance camera at a hotel in the well-known resort town of Sunny Beach, according to the Bulgarian prosecutor’s office.
Walking down a corridor, he stops as he passes a hotel cleaner scrubbing the floor. The two appear to exchange a few words before she continues her work. He then kicks her in the face.
The woman was knocked unconscious with injuries to her jaw and head, but later regained consciousness, local media reports say. The man is in custody awaiting a court hearing.
“The police and prosecutor aim to secure public order, not just for foreign tourists. This man is obliged to follow Bulgarian laws and we cannot allow behaviour that humiliates Bulgarian citizens, especially in their work,” chief prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov told the Bulgarian television channel BTV.
