Swiss adds destinations – Gothenburg, Helsinki, Riga

Frequencies will also increase on a number of existing routes
Swiss will introduce 22 new destinations from its Zurich hub with the start of the summer 2015 schedules on March 29. This includes routes to Nordic cities.
Many of the new routes are intended as “point-to-point” connections, while others will get seasonal summer service. Frequencies will also increase on a number of existing routes.
The 22 new destinations added to the carrier’s Zurich-based network will be more than it has ever added before. They include Gothenburg, Helsinki and Riga, as well as Leipzig, Dresden, Toulouse, Graz, Thessaloniki, Izmir, Malta, Bilbao and Porto. Seasonal services include Palermo, Bari, Naples, Brindisi, Ljubljana, Krakow, Sarajevo, Sofia and Zagreb.
Swiss will also increase frequencies on existing routes from Zurich, including to Copenhagen and Stockholm as well as Hamburg, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia.
On its intercontinental network SWISS will up frequencies between Zurich and San Francisco to 13 weekly in the July and August summer season.
The Lufthansa subsidiary will expand its Geneva-based network with year-round service to six new destinations. Florence gets four weekly services while Valencia, Sarajevo, Skopje, Algiers and Dublin will receive non-stop service from Geneva.
Faro, Catania, Podgorica and Kerkyra (Corfu) will join the network of Swiss partner Edelweiss in summer and frequencies will increase to Havana, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Antalya, Larnaca, Olbia, Split and Ibiza.
