Tallink sees passenger numbers decline

Biggest fall is on Finland-Sweden, down 11.1%

The Estonian shipping company Tallink Grupp carried 1.1 million passengers in July, almost 4% down on the same month the previous year.

The main reductions are on the Finland-Sweden (down 11.1% on July 2012) and Estonia-Sweden (down 5.9%) lines. But on Latvia-Sweden passenger figures were up 3.2% and Estonia-Finland up 1.4%.

The total number of passenger vehicles carried during the month fell slightly to 155,856, while trucks and trailers increased by almost 9%.
