Tallinn to host 79 cruise ships in 2012

430,000 cruise tourists from 150 countries coming this year

The first of many cruise calls in the Estonian capital Tallinn during 2012 has just taken place. Almost 300 visits are scheduled for this year, from 79 ships. Some 430,000 cruise tourists from 150 countries are due to arrive in 2012. On July 15, six cruise ships will be docking in a single day. The first to call at the Port of Tallinn was the Germany-based vessel Aidasol, bringing more than 2,000 tourists to the city.
Unusually for Tallinn, although the main season lasts until September 28, some ships have booked the quayside for as late as November 27 and December 25.
