Top music events in Sweden this summer

Festivals embracing all styles to be held around the country

Music festivals are not for everyone. But camping out for the weekend Swedish-style with thousands of likeminded music lovers sounds like fun for many people, and some incoming agents will be interested in offering the experience to clients.
The Stockholm Jazz Festival, now in its 28th year, regularly attracts the world’s top performers, also touching on soul and R&B. Tradjazz in Askersund, meanwhile, is taking place this weekend. Hultsfred at the end of the month, taking place in Borlänge, is a rock and indie festival with Bob Dylan and Kings of Leon headlining. Putte i Parken in Karlskroga in July is a smaller-scale rock festival. Sweden’s oldest festival, Storsjöyran, at the end of July is bringing in a mix of Swedish and international acts. Way Out West near Gothenburg in mid-July is more pop-oriented. Where The Action Is at the end of June in Gothenburg features Coldplay, Glasvegas and Brandon Flowers.
