Travel delays ahead of Euro 2016

Air, rail, Metro, fuel and other strikes hit travellers
Fears of travel chaos in France are lurking less than two weeks before it hosts the Euro 2016 football tournament. Workers at the national rail operator SNCF have begun a rolling strike, while Metro and rail workers in Paris start an open-ended strike on Thursday.
Trains linking Charles De Gaulle Airport with Paris and the RER D and E lines will all be disrupted, but the RER A is expected to run as usual.
Aviation is also being hit again. The French Civil Aviation Authority plans to strike from June 3 to 5, something that will cause flight cancellations and delays. Pilots at Air France also say they are ready to strike over planned salary restrictions but have set no date.
Most of the walkouts are in protest at labour reforms the government is pushing through. This has sparked fuel shortages as a wave of strikes included refineries and fuel depots. The government made minor concessions earlier this week.
