Travel forum to encourage B2B with Russia

Focus Russia forum at Balttour 2012 to bring together tourism professionals

To promote cooperation between Russian, Baltic, Nordic and other tourism professionals, the first Balttour 2012 Forum, called Focus Russia, will be held during the international travel trade fair Balttour 2012 in Riga, Latvia, on February 9. The Forum aims to introduce travel and tourism opportunities to outbound and incoming Russian tourism industry representatives, to network, sell services and discuss the latest industry developments, hopefully boosting the flow of tourists to and from Russia.
The forum will be attended by more than 120 professionals from Russia, the Baltic countries and beyond. Among the delegates who have already confirmed their participation are Gregory Sarishvili, deputy director of the Russian Federal Tourism Agency; Marina Yenkova, executive director of the Russian Tourism Industry Association; Olga Sanayeva, head of Russia’s Transport Commission; Sergei Agafonov, director of the Russian agency Last Minute Travel Network; and Boris Zelyinski, director of the Crimean tour operator Kandagar Group.
Besides visiting Balttour 2012, participants will get a chance to experience sightseeing tours in Riga, the nearly coastal resort of Jurmala and the Latvian Olympic centres.
