Tool debuted in Asia, now being released in northern Europe

Travel agents should be able to boost their selling power thanks to a new online tool being released in northern Europe by tech company Travelport, TTG Media reports.

Travelport Business Insights was originally launched in Asia to meet client needs and is now being introduced in the Nordics, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux region.

The program takes data from both traditional and non-traditional travel sources and, using analytics, organises the data to highlight key insights and trends.

Traveller productivity

Travelport Northern Europe manager Simon Ferguson said the results can be used in a number of ways, from improving sales and consultant performance to analysing how to improve traveller productivity from a trip.

“Our customers have told us the volume of data available to them is dramatically increasing but so too is the time and cost of interpreting it,” he explained.

“We have developed Travelport Business Insights to help our customers make business decisions that can improve revenue, enhance customer service and reduce operational costs by not only aggregating travel data from multiple sources, but transforming the information into insights and providing businesses with a competitive edge.”
