Travelport signs as CTW Asia-Pacific sponsor

Travel-tech firm interacts with corporate travel professionals

Asia-Pacific’s leading corporate travel conference and exhibition for the region’s industry professionals says it has sealed sponsorship from big-name travel technology and hospitality brands.

Due to be held at the Bangkok Convention Centre in CentralWorld in the Thai capital, Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) and Corporate Travel World (CTW) Asia-Pacific is described as the world’s only double-bill event in MICE and Corporate Travel. It will be held from September 30 to October 2. Both events have been co-locating since 2004.

Serviced apartment provider Oakwood Worldwide says that CTW Asia-Pacific is a powerful platform that provides outreach to the corporate segment.

“The event’s ability to attract valuable decision makers involved in corporate travel procurement has been the key motivating factor in our leap to be a first-time CTW Asia-Pacific sponsor,” said Craig Ryan Oakwood Worldwide’s managing director,.

Sharing these sentiments is returning sponsor Travelport. The company’s corporate account director, Dirk Mertens, explained how Travelport’s participation last year was successful: “By exclusively hosting a segment for the event’s attendees, we had a captive platform to interact with corporate travel professionals from around the region. As a result of this direct engagement, we gained a deeper understanding of the needs of business travellers.”
