TTM Plus 2011 gets on track

Tenth TTM Plus is leading trade show for Thailand and Mekong region

A diverse program of seminars, tours and networking opportunities awaits participants of TTM Plus 2011, in other words the Thailand Travel Mart 2011 Plus Amazing Gateway to Greater Mekong Subregion, when it opens on June 8 at the Impact Muang Thong Thani Exhibition Centre, Bangkok. A new “balanced strategy” will be followed during the three-day event with a mix of business sessions and a focus on environmental preservation. A number of tours are also being organised. Now in its tenth year, TTM Plus is the leading trade show for Thailand and the Greater Mekong region countries of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and southern China. All of these countries are linked by the common thread of the Mekong River, one of the world’s longest waterways.
As of 18 May, a total of 368 sellers had registered for the event, including 268 hotels and resorts, 36 travel agents and tour operators, three ecotourism and adventure operators, plus airlines, entertainment companies, golf courses and other travel and tourism companies and organisations. They will have an opportunity to meet with 335 buyers from 54 countries. Several activities will be organised during the mart to promote green tourism, such as the launch of the website, intended to popularize the demand for green travel through electronic media and online networking, and the Green Tourism Forum for Buyers on June 8 followed by a panel discussion on “The Real Implementation of Green Tourism in Thailand.”
