TUI digital media chief moves to Stockholm

The 31-year-old German national in charge of communications will work from Sweden.

Taking care of communications for TUI in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland will be Magnus Hüttenberend, who has taken over responsibility for the tour operator’s corporate and colleague communications, government affairs and sustainability since April 1.

The German national, aged 31, will continue to be responsible for digital media channels in TUI Group’s corporate communications, but Stefan Siemon, also 31, will simultaneously move to the position of the group’s senior manager for digital communications.

Hüttenberend started at TUI in the group headquarters in Hanover but will soon relocate to Stockholm.

He will report to Thomas Ellerbeck, member of the group executive committee of the TUI Group, responsible for communications worldwide.

The change is taking place as part of TUI Group’s Global 60 program, which aims to promote international careers in the company. Employees are encouraged to use their skills abroad in multinational teams and to gain new experience in local markets.

Siemon, meanwhile, is now responsible for both the social media communications of the group as well as “the training of employees to become influencers”. He will report in his new position to Hüttenberend.

Content marketing
Magnus Hüttenberend has been responsible for digital communications since joining the group in 2015. In the last two years he has also managed the social media team of TUI Germany. Previously, he was responsible for content marketing and the digital marketing channels of Vodafone Germany.
