TUI expands with new hotel in Croatia

Group continues strategic shift to hotel and cruise group
TUI Group is continuing its strategic shift to becoming a hotel and cruise group with a new hotel in Croatia, to be available to stay in from summer next year.
Besides new TUI Blue hotels to open in Tenerife (November 2016), Austria (November 2016), Germany (December 2016), Italy (spring 2017) and now the TUI Blue Jadran on the Adriatic coast in Croatia, the first two hotels opened in Turkey in May this year.
The hotels are to be exclusively booked by TUI customers.
“The hotel business is a key element of TUI’s growth strategy,” said Thomas Pietzka, head of TUI Hotels & Resorts. “By opening this additional new hotel, we have shown that we are consistently implementing our goals and continue to expand our unique offering for our guests.”
The new hotel, located in a bay on the Makarska Riviera, a coastal section of Dalmatia, is currently being completely refurbished and adjusted to the TUI Blue concept.
“Croatia is developing into an increasingly popular trend destination,” said Artur Gerber, TUI Blue managing director.
