If a guest finds the same product cheaper elsewhere the difference will be refunded, the operator promises.
TUI says it is introducing a “value guarantee” for all of its excursions around the world, in time for the start of the summer season.
The group guarantees its customers that “they will not get any better service” at their holiday destinations. But if a guest receives “the exact same excursion from another provider at a better price”, TUI will refund the difference between the two offers.
The guarantee applies regardless of whether the customer has booked the excursion in advance at a travel agency, with a local rep or online. Guests can choose from over 10,000 different excursions with TUI around the world.
The operator says that with the introduction of the value guarantee it is “consistently pursuing its differentiation strategy in the excursion segment”.
With TUI Collection and PLUS, which was launched this summer, the range includes two product segments that can only be booked exclusively with TUI.
It is not clear whether an “exact same” excursion would be found in such cases that the operator would extend its guarantee to.
TUI Collection includes excursions where “guests can experience destination highlights in a unique, authentic and responsible way”, while with PLUS, customers get an additional service when visiting sights or top attractions. This can be the case, for example, when buying a ticket for a water park that includes unlimited use of all rides at no extra charge.
