Turbulence hits Bangkok flight, 27 injured

Aeroflot flights runs into clear-air turbulence
As many as 27 people were injured on an Aeroflot flight to Thailand on Monday when it hit sudden turbulence. The Boeing 777 flying from Moscow to Bangkok struck an area of clear-air turbulence about 40 minutes before landing.
Although none of those injured have serious or life-threatening injuries, 15 Russian nationals and two Thais remain in hospital.
Flight SU270 was piloted by an experienced crew, Aeroflot said, the captain having more than 23,000 flight hours, the first officer over 10,500. But they were unable to warn passengers in time and many passengers were not wearing seatbelts.
