Turkish Airlines low-cost unit to fly to Europe

Anadolu Jet may launch low-cost flights to Europe in 2016
Turkish Airlines may launch low-cost flights to Europe in summer 2016, through its new low-cost unit Anadolu Jet. No decision has yet been taken, but flights would start with Germany, France and the UK.
Turkish Airlines’ chief executive, Temil Kotil, tells German daily Handelsblatt today that next summer could be the right time for Anadolu Jet to start flights to Germany.
“The tickets are on average 30% to 40% cheaper than Turkish Airlines flights,” he says.
The budget subsidiary was founded in 2008. It has 31 planes and so far flies domestic routes inside Turkey.
