Turkish Airlines offers 50% refund to medical tourists

Airline to return half of cost of ticket to health tourists
Turkey is the world’s sixth most popular tourist destination, attracting 40 million visitors a year. Now the country’s flag carrier is set to give it a further boost by taking an active role in its growing medical tourism sector.
Turkish Airlines says that passengers visiting Turkey for treatment who travel on the airline will be eligible for a 50% transportation rebate.
They will get this by presenting the required documents – copies of the international patient’s passport, flight ticket, health institution entry registration, treatment bill – to the local Turkish Airlines office in their city of origin.
“Thanks to this program, guests who choose Turkey for health tourism purposes will have the opportunity to benefit from not only the internationally accredited medical facilities and staff but will also have the beauty and tranquillity of Turkey as a site for recuperation,” the airline says in a press release.
