Vibrator-inspired note writer may be fired

Luggage screener faces dismissal for leaving note in passenger’s bag

A baggage screener faces dismissal after finding a vibrator in a passenger’s suitcase and leaving a written note in the bag that said “Get Your Freak On, Girl”. The US Transportation Security Administration “has initiated action to remove the individual from federal service,” a TSA spokesperson said. The agency then apologized to the passenger personally.
The TSA selects baggage to be screened on random. The passenger, Jill Filipovic, happened to be a lawyer, who then tweeted a picture of the note and blogged about it on the site Feministe. “This is what the TSA will do when they inspect a bag you checked and find a, um, ‘personal item’,” she wrote. “Total violation of privacy, wildly inappropriate and clearly not OK, but I also just died laughing in my hotel room.”
