Vietnam Airlines confirms new routes to London

Skyteam member to launch from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from December

There are no direct services between London and Vietnam and very few from the rest of Europe. Some of the few options include having to first fly to Paris or Frankfurt, or connect in Hong Kong, Bangkok or Singapore. But from the end of this year, Vietnam Airlines is bridging the gap by introducing two new routes to The UK capital’s Gatwick Airport from its major cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The move confirms an initial announcement in April. Exact schedules are to be announced, but it is known that the airline will use a B777-200ER. Vietnam Airlines became a member of the Skyteam alliance exactly a year ago.
