Virgin Hotels opens first property – in Chicago

No fees for early check-in, late check-out, wi-fi, room service

Virgin Hotels has opened its first property, Virgin Hotels Chicago. The 26-floor art deco building is located in Chicago’s Loop district and offers 250 guest rooms, including 40 one-bedroom suites and two penthouse suites.

There are no fees for early check-in, late check-out, wi-fi, room service delivery or business centre transactions.

“It’s been a long-held dream to start beautiful, comfortable, fun hotels for guests and give them what they want and need while being gentle on their wallets,” proclaimed Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group.

Virgin plans to open a second hotel in Nashville in summer 2016 and a third in New York in 2017. Two additional locations will be announced by the end of 2016. Virgin Hotels is aiming at 20 locations by 2025.
