Visit Pacific 2017 to open in Malmö

Wide-ranging exhibition puts Oceania on the map
Tour Pacific in Helsingborg, southern Sweden, has been a specialised tour operator to the destinations of Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific since 1993. Now it plans to open its doors, temporarily, in Malmö.
For the first time, the operator will organise a public show to attract mores Swedes to explore these destinations. On February 25, doors open to Visit Pacific 2017 at Malmö Live Congress Centre.
“As Sweden’s leading tour operator to this region, we want to give a sense of what these fabulous travel destinations can offer to our visitors,” Lars Jönsson, Tour Pacific’s managing director, explains.”
Together with our partners we will offer inspirational presentations and lectures, personal meetings with representatives from tourist organisations and suppliers. There will also be opportunity to meet our own travel experts and plan a trip to our destinations.”
Visit Pacific 2017 has so far attracted more than 30 exhibitors from eight countries. There will be cultural entertainment showing rituals form Fiji, song and music performances from Australia and food tastings. Pre-bookings are being accepted to 30 lectures in Swedish and English.
Among the exhibitors are tourist organisations from Fiji, the Cook Islands, various Australian territories, Qantas and cruise companies like Regent Cruises.
