Vueling to launch new Copenhagen routes

Number of carrier’s Copenhagen routes to double

In March and June 2013, the Spanish airline Vueling will open two new routes from Copenhagen, to Florence and Malaga, bringing the number of the carrier’s Copenhagen routes to four, Copenhagen Airport has announced. Vueling opened its first two CPH routes, to Barcelona and Alicante, less than a year ago.
“Vueling has quickly become popular with Scandinavians travelling to some of the most attractive Spanish destinations,” Thomas Woldbye, CEO of Copenhagen Airport, says. “We are therefore pleased to see that they are now adding an additional two destinations to their route network out of Copenhagen, giving travellers more choices to more countries.”
Vueling will open its service to Florence – four weekly frequencies using Airbus A319s seating 125 passengers – on 23 March, when it also opens a base at this Tuscan airport.
