W brand debuts versatile iPhone app

App allows users to interact with hotel and find out special offers

The über-chic brand W Hotels has introduced a new iPhone app, available on iTunes since May 20, with which customers can do everything from booking a room to request extra towels and bedding. Clients can also order room service, discover special offers and send messages to the hotel staff. The app locates the user’s position and displays the nearest properties belonging to Starwood Hotels, W’s parent company.
A “Treat Youself or Someone Else” button on the app allows the user to pre-order romantic items in the room such as chocolate-covered strawberries or sparkling wine. The app also streams music selected by W’s global music director.
