Warner and Abu Dhabi in new theme park

New attraction to open on UAE’s Yas Island in 2018
Enhancing its entertainment options, United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi will soon be welcoming the new Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi theme park, with the world’s first Warner Bros branded hotel to follow.
A joint venture between developer Miral and Warner Bros, it will stand on Yas Island, already a multi-purpose leisure, shopping and entertainment centre. The first phase of the project is under construction, with rides in production.
Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi is expected to boost the Yas Island visitor tally from 25 million in 2015 to 30 million in 2018, cementing the island’s position as a hub for leisure and entertainment experiences.
“It is incredibly exciting to announce that we are bringing the iconic Warner Bros brand to Yas Island,” enthused Miral chairman HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak. “Miral’s investment in the Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi theme park is estimated at one billion dollars and is a milestone in the emirate’s journey to put Abu Dhabi on the global map to become one of the world’s leading tourist destinations.”
