Turkey is top for Cook’s summer 2013 destinations
Turkey is top for Thomas Cook’s summer 2013 destinations, the tour operator has announced. More customers want to go on holiday there this year than any other destination. In the operator’s “holiday monitor” for March 2013, based on charter and scheduled searches within Thomas Cook brands, Greece places second, followed by the Balearics, the Canaries and Cyprus.
For winter 2013, Thomas Cook says the Canaries have been the most popular choice, followed by Egypt, Turkey, Mexico and Cuba.
For long-haul holidays, the United States is still attractive for customers, with New York named as the most popular long-haul destination and Florida second. Mexico places third, followed by Barbados and Thailand. Among cities, top of the list is Paris, followed by Venice, Rome, Barcelona and Istanbul.
