When in Dubai, never do this…

Never kiss or hold hands in public unless you’re married

A 27-year-old female recruitment consultant from the UK faces a possible three years in prison in Dubai after being accused of having sex in the back of a taxi cab, a charge she denies. But this is one of many things that are illegal in conservative Dubai and which often get tourists into trouble.
Others include : dancing that is considered indecent; making insulting gestures; kissing or holding hands in public, unless you’re married; drinking or being caught drunk in public, except in licensed hotels or bars; and, of course, sex on the beach. Shopping in clothes that are tight, short, or displaying your stomach, shoulders or back should also be avoided.
