Where are Swedish sun-seekers going this year?

Sweden-Mallorca charter flights in operation for 60 years
Almost half of Swedes plan to travel abroad this summer, and the most popular destination is Mallorca. Charter flights have been taking holidaymakers to the Spanish island for exactly 60 years and its popularity shows no signs of slowing down.
Some 43% of Swedes will seek sunnier climes this summer, according to a survey by Novus commissioned by the Swedish travel agency Ticket.
Mallorca, the biggest of the Balearic Islands, even has its own Swedish-language newspaper, Mallorca Nyheter, and Princess Birgitta, sister of King Carl XVI Gustaf, has a home there.
Other hot destinations for Swedes this year, featuring in the survey’s top 10, include Antalya, Sardinia, Sicily, New York, Barcelona and – in the top 10 for the first time – Malaga.
