Two new “low-fare routes” to Riga and Poznan
Wizz Air, which describes itself as “the largest low-cost, low-fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe”, has announced two new routes from Bergen, to Poznan in Poland and Riga in Latvia. The two routes will initially operate two days a week each and start operating in spring 2013. Wizz Air says the routes – which come in addition to two existing ones to Gdansk in Poland and Vilnius in Lithuania – will increase annual passenger traffic at Bergen Airport to 180,000 passengers.
Daniel de Carvalho, corporate communications manager at Wizz Air, described the two new destinations: “The rustic country style city of Poznan, and Riga, the up-and-coming favourite of clubbers and night owls, can now be accessed on direct low-fare flights for the very first time.”
