World’s first airline to sell tickets onboard

airBaltic offers tickets for passengers during course of the flight

The Latvian national airline airBaltic has announced that it is the first airline in the world to offer tickets for passengers during the flight. Taking advantage of a captive audience, the airline’s travel store now provides everything a passenger needs for the journey, from flights, hotels and car rentals to insurance products, phone cards, concert tickets and even roses.
By selling tickets exclusively onboard, airBaltic says that it is securing future flights for loyal customers. Tickets bought onboard can be used for the next flight, or given as a gift to someone special.
