World’s first in-flight entertainment system integrated into tray table

 

 

Skycast Solutions has unveiled what it says is the world’s first in-flight entertainment system to be integrated into a tray table. The new system, TrayVu, has been designed to enhance airline profits, the company says, while improving the onboard customer experience. Features include the lightest possible seat-centric system (less than 2lbs/seat); a fraction of the cost of seat-back systems; highly customisable Android platform; and a solid-state tablet computer at each seat. The system uses a touch-screen keypad, HD resolution and wi-fi compatibility.
“We are out to make flying more enjoyable,” Greg Latimer, Skycast Solutions’ chief marketing officer, said.
