“Interactive family suite” to include floor-to-ceiling Lego wall
Royal Caribbean’s new megaship Symphony of the Seas will set sail three weeks early on March 31 next year, with a voyage from Spain to Italy.
The biggest cruise vessel in the world, the 230,000 gross ton, 6,000-passenger vessel will include, among other things, more balcony staterooms than its sister ship, Harmony of the Seas, and a redesigned boardwalk section with a variety of restaurants.
There will also be “the world’s most adventurous and interactive family suite,” according to Royal, which will include a kid’s-only bedroom on the second floor with floor-to-ceiling Lego wall, air-hockey table and its own 3D-theatre-style movie room.
Symphony is being built at the STX France shipyard, some way ahead of schedule. This has prompted the cruise line to add three new sailings in the spring.
These include a five-night voyage from Barcelona on March 31, followed by two seven-night itineraries out of Barcelona on April 7 and 14.
