WTM alliance tie-up gives delegates cheaper flights

WTM owner Reed signs deal with oneworld airline alliance
Delegates attending World Travel Market events around the world will now benefit from discounted airfares following a new deal with the oneworld airline alliance, it has been announced.
Reed Travel Exhibitions, which owns WTM, has signed a deal with the alliance to become a partner throughout 2016, leading to cost reductions for delegates.
The deal also applies to a number of other events, including IBTM in Spain and the International Luxury Travel Market, with benefits such as special fares extended to a companion on offer.
As many as 100,000 delegates should be able to take advantage of the deal, which gives them access to oneworld’s 15 members that between them serve more than 1,000 destinations in more than 150 countries.
Every attendee whether exhibitor, buyer, media or trade visitor will be able to book simply and easily through the oneworld events portal where each show will have its own customised link, as well as a 24-hour support desk,” said Reed’s divisional director Nick Pilbeam.
