WTM sees rise in spring show attendees

Portfolio facilitated more than $7 billion in deals in 2014
WTM’s portfolio of spring events has seen a 30% rise in the number of senior travel industry buyers in attendance. The World Travel Market portfolio facilitated more than $7 billion in travel and tourism industry deals in 2014, WTM said.
“The massive increase in industry leading buyers across all events means the WTM portfolio is on track to facilitate even more business than in 2014 when $7 billion worth of contract were signed due to negotiations at our events,” Craig Moyes, WTM portfolio director, said.
The WTM portfolio consists of four business-to-business travel trade events held across the world, namely WTM Africa, WTM Latin America, Arabian Travel Market and World Travel Market. There are also the niche events International Ski Travel Market and International Golf Travel Market.
International Golf Travel Market will take place in Tenerife on October 5-8. WTM’s flagship event, the World Travel Market in London, will be held between November 2 and 5.
