Wyndham adds “by Wyndham” to its brands

The hotel group is adding the “by Wyndham” suffix to 12 of its brands to unite its varied hoteliers.

As it transitions into a purely hotel franchising and management company, Wyndham Hotel Group is adding the “by Wyndham” suffix to 12 of its brands to unite its varied hoteliers under a common name as well as improve brand awareness.

Brands to incorporate the Wyndham hallmark will include Ramada, Ramada Encore, Trademark, Esplendor, Super 8, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, AmericInn, Baymont, Dolce and Dazzler, representing 7,074 properties across the globe.

Beginning April 16, the updated brand names and logos will appear across Wyndham’s digital placements from brand websites to mobile sites and third-party listings, TTG Asia reports.

As for hotel signs, Wyndham property owners in North America can immediately begin placing orders. The updates will roll out around the world with an expected completion date of December 2022.

Wyndham’s Wingate, Microtel, Hawthorn Suites and TRYP brands already have the suffix “by Wyndham”.

Company evolution
The cross-branding initiative is a further evolution for the company and its brand portfolio as it recasts itself as a “pure-play” hotel franchising and hotel management firm, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, scheduled to occur later this quarter.

In related news, the first Wyndham Garden-branded property has just opened in the United Arab Emirates. Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche features 179 rooms and suites, all facing the beachfront. An executive lounge on the top floor, while the leisure facilities include a spa, fitness club, outdoor pool, Jacuzzi and kids’ club. An array of dining options can also be found at the property.
